Launch of a New MDR Training Programme
Adaptaid Executives, Sylvie Charette and Benoit Girard were delighted to take part in the Launch of the Reprocessing of Medical Devices (RMD) programme at the Centre de formation des Nouvelles-Technologies (CFNT) on Tuesday 20 August 2024. The new programme, which starts in the autumn of 2024, comprises 1080 hours of training over a period of 10 months.
The aim of the training is to ensure that devices used in medical procedures are correctly reprocessed using complex processes including cleaning, disinfection and sterilization (where necessary). This training is therefore extremely important, as inadequately reprocessed medical devices can put patients and healthcare professionals at risk of infection.

A Successful Launch
At the Launch, guests were able to tour the CFNT's new facilities, which have been specially designed for teaching the reprocessing of medical devices. The new layout reproduces the essential elements of the sterile, clean and soiled areas found in local hospital MDR Departments.
During the visit, the many guests and new students were accompanied by the initiative key players, including Christine Ferland, Director - New Technologies Training Centre, and Manon Pagé, Administrative Manager, to name but a few.
