An essential tool from the Medical Device Reprocessing Department to the Operating Room. This surgical case cart is designed for the supply of medical instruments needed for operating room procedures. The case cart structure is made entirely of stainless steel with a reinforced floor and a drainage plane to facilitate the flow of water during cleaning. Reinforced, removable and height-adjustable sliding shelves and an open door locking device add to its many ergonomic features. This surgical case cart is compatible with automated washers.

Case Cart

Sliding Shelf
The addition of a retractable solid or wire mesh shelf allows better access to medical devices inserted in the back of the cart. In addition, the sliding movement of the shelf facilitates the work of users while reducing the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.

All shelves are reinforced in the center to effectively carry the many medical instruments or sterile containers that can add to the weight load. With cross brackets, the shelves can be easily removed or repositioned to the desired height in two-inch (five-centimeter) increments.

Strong and durable casters

Four six-inch stainless steel casters with top plate mounting designed to provide mobility for equipment with a load capacity of up to 250lb.

The case cart wheels have thermoplastic polyurethane tread designed to withstand the heat of cart washers and are quiet when rolling.

The standard configuration includes two swivel casters and two other caster that are directional for straight line transport over long distances.

To facilitate movement and parking in a tight spaces, the two directional casters can be replaced by two swivel casters with a combined directional lock that is activated with a single pedal accessible from either side when standing.

For effective braking, two of the four casters are equipped with a total lock brake to ensure stability when the cart is positioned on uneven ground. Easy to use, the brakes can be activated by a simple foot pressure when standing.

Activating the stationary mode also provides users with a safe and stable work position for storing instrumentation.

Double-Walled Watertight Doors

Sealed doors provide additional aseptic protection and quiet cart movement.

Washing, loading and unloading of the case cart is made easy with 27O degree door swing. During case cart washing and preparation, the doors can be secured on the sides of the cart making the surgical instrument storage area accessible.

The doors are retained either by a locking device or by magnets, depending on the option chosen when ordering.

In the case of the locking device, a simple lever is quickly put in place by the user to secure the door in place.

For carts equipped with magnetic door retainers, simply folding the doors down on the side walls will lock the door open to 270 degrees.

In order to keep intact the medical equipment that is transported to OR, the doors are equipped with an anti-vibration latch and a safety seal.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Maintenance

This product is maintenance free. Its heavy-duty casters have precision ball bearings and require no lubrication for the life of the product.

Cleaning with Automated Cart Washers

This cart is compatible with high temperature washers.

Manual surface cleaning

Clean surfaces with a clean cloth soaked in a diluted, non-abrasive disinfectant or cleaning solution. After cleaning, wipe all surfaces thoroughly with a disposable cloth and allow to dry. Do not use steel wool or any other abrasive product, as these may damage the surfaces. Before using any cleaning product, test a small, inconspicuous area to test the surface for potential damage. Disinfectant sprays or wipes can also be used for cleaning and disinfecting.

The frequency of cleaning depends on usage as well as the surrounding conditions. Check with your infection control department for the proper cleaning procedure.

Suggested cleaning solutions:

- Sodium hypochlorite 1.5% (bleach), 1:10 dilution

- Isopropyl alcohol 60-70%.

- Hydrogen peroxide, accelerated formula 0.5

- Liquid soap

Always follow the dilution instructions and the advice of the manufacturers of the cleaning products used.
